In the first quarter of 2016, fees, taxes and duties paid by OyuTolgoi LLC amounted to 36 million USD or 73.7 billion MNT. Besides that, the company had spent 59 million USD or 120 billion MNT on purchasing domestic products and services, of which 11 million USD or 22.5 billion MNT were spent in Omnogovi (South Gobi) province.
OyuTolgoi spent over 130 thousand USD or 266 million MNT for educational programs and training, and 1.5 million USD or more than three billion MNT –for programs on sustainable local development.
Water recycling level was 84.5 percent in the first quarter, with a performance of use of 0.477 cubicmeter of water per ton of ore, which is much lower than the average of other ore processing plants that use 1.2 cubicmeter.
