The National Emergency Management Agency of Mongolia has reported that 4.4 magnitude earthquake occured in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar at 05:30 PM. The earthquake was registered at an area which is located 7 km in the north from the place called "Gunjiin Sum" or 70 km away from Ulaanbaatar city center.
According to Mr Ts.Batsaikhan, leading researcher of the Astronomy and GeoPhysics Research Center, the depth of the earthquake’s epicenter was 2 km. The rumble caused by two earthquake tremors with an interval of 40 to 45 seconds was like the sound of an explosion.

No casualties or damages have been reported.
