About 1200 military servants from 23 countries gathered in Tavan Tolgoi military training center, southwest of the Ulaanbaatar, to share best practices and interoperability at Khaan Quest-2014 multinational exercise that kicked off on June 20.
Khaan Quest is a regularly scheduled, multinational exercise co-sponsored by the United States Marine Corps Forces Pacific and United States Army Pacific and hosted by the Mongolian Armed Forces. Khaan Quest 2014 is the latest in a continuing series of exercises designed to promote regional peace and security. This year marks the 12th iteration of this training event.
This year’s multinational military exercises that will last till July 1 are running under four basic parts--Command-staff Exercise, Field Exercises of Platoons, Hospital-humanitarian and Engineering Civic Action Program.
Command-staff Exercise and Field Exercises of Platoons aim at improving skills of troops who will participate in the peacekeeping operations and military staff of the countries are exercising together in eight training points by learning many kinds of armament systems and tactics.
