Mongolian printing company has already started to print out voting ballots for elections. As of today, the ballot papers printing process is 50%. The ballots are printed on papers with special security features which were imported from Canada. That’s why it’s impossible to print fake voting ballots, say the authorities of the General Election Commission at the press conference held last week.
Besides that, ballot papers are printed under a strict security control and safeguard by a specialized units of the police and the Central Intelligence Agency. The process of designing, printing, packing and delivering ballots runs in presence of members of working groups, observers of parties, coalitions and NGO’s.
The ballot papers for the 2016 parliamentary elections will be counted electronically by special voting machines. As expected, around 2 million voting ballots will be printed and will be sent to the regions 3 days before the elections.
Parliamentary elections will be held in Mongolia on the 29th of June 2016.
