Iran to export propane to Kenya

TEHRAN, Aug. 30 (MNA) – Head of Iran Sirri Oil Field said a Kenyan ship will port in the island and a 106k barrel shipment of propane will be exported to that country. Reza Haqiqi told that Sirri Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) field is the first NGL offshore unit which has been able to produce around 43k cubic meters liquid gas on a daily basis since 2012. Haqiqi added that Kish Island and Ilam province’s gas fields will be transferred to Sirri NGL factory to produce more gas products per day. He held that Sirri NGL Field products are bhutan, propane, pentane and naphtha; “thousands of barrels of naphtha and bhutan have been exported from Sirri Oil Feild so far and next week propane will also be exported to Kenya,” said Haqiqi Despite sanctions, Sirri Oil Field has earned millions of dollars for the country in addition to supplying inner needs. Sirri Island is situated 76 km away from Bandar Lengeh and 50 km west of Abu Musa Island. The island is one of six in the Abu Musa Island Group and part of Hormozgan province south of Iran. The Sirri District includes the Sivand and Dena Oil Fields, Nosrat Oil Field, Alvand Oil Field and the Esfand Oil Field along with the Nasr offshore oil platforms.
