Pakistan Religious Leader Lauds President For IP Project

Islamabad, March 10, IRNA – A senior Pakistani religious leader has lauded President Asif Ali Zardari for taking a bold step executing Pakistan-Iran pipeline project in the larger interest of the country. Chairman of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) and member of the parliament, Sahibzada Muhammad Fazle Kareem said that non-state actors are trying to sabotage the mega project. “But it is Presidentˈs majesty to take a courageous initiative and gave the go ahead to the authorities concerned for the execution without being under pressure of any internal and external anti-lobby of the project.,” he said. He told the official APP news agency that President Zardari is going to make a history that would be written down in golden words. President Zardari will visit Iran on March 11 for the ground-breaking ceremony of the Iran-Pak gas pipeline project, the Foreign Ministry says./end
