Airbus 380 Maiden Flight To Iranian Airport

Tehran, Sept 30, IRNA – The world's largest passenger airliner, Airbus A380 will have its first landing on Tuesday at the Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKIA) as the airport at which it will land has upgraded its facilities to accommodate such flights, IKIA announced. The flight of the double-deck, wide-body, four-engine jet airliner manufactured by Airbus is a one-off service by Emirates in celebration of the launch of its fourth daily non-stop flight between Tehran and Dubai which date back to 1990. The A380, which made its first flight in 2005 and entered commercial service two years later, was designed to challenge Boeing's monopoly in the large-aircraft market./end
