Environment protection cornerstone of sustainable development

Jeddah, Mar. 4 (BNA): Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Daina met General President of Meteorology and Environmental Protection Dr. Abdulaziz bin Omar Al-Jasser and discussed joint cooperation to exchange expertise and information. Dr. bin Daina stressed the importance of conducting joint studies and exchanging information, expertise and practices and exploring adequate solutions to tackle challenges in the Arabian Gulf region and protecting the environment, being the cornerstone of sustainable development. Dr. Al-Jasser hailed deep-rooted bilateral relations binding the two countries, highlighting the importance of such meetings to exchange information and expertise and discuss key environmental issues.
