IRNA Chief, AP Senior Manager Hold Talks In New York

Tehran, Sept 30, IRNA - The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Chief Mohammad Khoddadi and Associated Press (AP) senior manager Michael Oreskes Tuesday in New York held talks on ways to develop professional media cooperation. The two sides also called for exchange of news, photos, films as well as setting up training courses for media persons. Khoddadi reiterated that exchange of experiences among news agencies would play a pivotal role in increasing the quantity and quality of news products. Oreskes, for his part, expressed hope that the ground would be prepared for expansion of scientific cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two news agencies. Khoddadi was among senior Iranian officials accompanying President Hassan Rouhani in his visit to New York to attend the 69th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly./end
