SCW, banking institutions discuss cooperation

Manama, Sept. 2 (BNA): The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) held at its premises a meeting with public relations and information directors at financial and banking institutions. The meeting focused on ways to enhance joint cooperation to highlight the events to be held on the sidelines of the Bahraini Women's Day 2015, themed "Women in the financial and banking sector". Director-General of Administrative and Media Affairs Ezz El-Din Al-Moayyad gave a presentation on the history of the Bahraini Women's Day since its launch in 2008. He also highlighted this year's theme and the events to be held on its sidelines. Areas of cooperation, coordination in devising a media plan to highlight women's successes in the financial and banking fields and completion of women's database in the financial and banking sectors were discussed. The attendees affirmed the importance of highlighting women's achievements in the financial and banking sectors during this year's Bahraini Women's Day. The event is within the series of meetings held between the SCW's Secretariat-General with various financial and banking institutions to identify the situation of Bahraini women in the sector, shed light on the challenges facing them, highlight efforts to motivate women's contributions to the sector and present women's success stories.
