Secretary General of Socialist International received Honorary Doctorate Diploma of Public Administration Academy of Azerbaijan

Baku, December 19, AzerTAc Secretary General of the Socialist International Luis Ayala has received an Honorary Doctorate Diploma of the Public Administration Academy under the President of Azerbaijan. Luis Ayala was awarded with the he diploma of the honorary doctor of the Academy for his services in developing and strengthening the international cooperation according to the decision of the Scientific Council of the Academy. Attended by the tutorial staff and students of the Academy, rector, Academician Urkhan Alakbarov provided an insight into life and activity of Luis Ayala. He also stressed the services of Luis Ayala in strengthening the international cooperation. Luis Ayala highlighted the history and activity of Socialist International, as well as ongoing processes in international arena, difficulties of global economic crisis, promotion of gender equality, steps taken in strengthening the international cooperation. Speaking of the conflicts and their heavy sequences, the Secretary General also touched upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He also stressed the importance of solving the conflict within the norms of international law.
