Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and Australia hold consultative meeting

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At their 2nd consultative meeting held Thursday, the Foreign Ministries of the countries highlighted achievements in the bilateral relations since the 1st meeting and exchanged views on opportunities for deepening the ties and cooperation. The sides also shared views on the developmental cooperation such as the scholarship programme, cooperation in the defense and investment spheres. The Mongolia’s side gave details about preparation works for the forthcoming 11th ASEM Summit to be held this July in Ulaanbaatar and relevant event. Mongolia and Australia exchanged information and expressed their positions over the regional and international issues as well. The consultative meeting was co-chaired by Mr D.Gankhuyag, the State Secretary of the Mongolia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and his counterpart of Australia Mr Graham Fletcher. Following the consultative meeting, the State Secretary Mr Gankhuyag met with Mr Peter Varghese, the Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
