BOC marketing executive coordinator attends seminar

Manama, Oct. 6 (BNA): Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) marketing executive coordinator Seema Al Kharraz recently attended a seminar on Olympic marketing at the International Olympic Committee premises in Lausanne, Switzerland. The two-day event aimed to promote National Olympic Committees’ activities and build more partnership with the private sector and how to utilize top International Olympic Committee sponsor companies. Seema said a number of workshops were presented as part of the seminar agenda, the first of which was about brand building essentials with P&G Workshop by Marketing Director, Brand Building & Integrated Communications at P&G David Grebert. After the welcome and opening remarks, Marie De Cock and Cedric Vanden Bogaerde spoke about the Olympic brand journey. It was followed by the theme titled ‘Olympic brand research’ was presented by Daniela Negreda. The second and concluding day of the seminar started with an introduction by NOC Marketing Training Manager Natascha Trittis. Grebert then delivered his second part presentation on Brand Building & Integrated Communications at P&G. Elisabeth Allaman then addressed the participants on Olympic marketing structure, while Senior NOC Commercial Affairs Manager Sylvia Koller and Marketing Services Senior Manager Daniela Negreda both highlighted Marketing Tools for NOCs and how to benefit from them. The seminar concluded with Elisabeth Allaman and NOC Marketing Training Manager Natascha Trittis both giving the wrap-up and action plans. Seema and other participants also had a number of sightseeing tours during the visit, such as the Olympic Museum.
