Turkey Cultural Week In KL Next Month

ISTANBUL, Sept 8 (Bernama) - The Ministry of Tourism and Culture is ready to share its experience and expertise with Turkey to help organise Turkey Cultural Week in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 15. Minister Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz said he offered Turkey's Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, Abdurrahman Arici to help organise the event at Pavilion Shopping Mall, Bukit Bintang. "This is based on our ability to organise Malaysia Cultural Week in Istanbul. We will help the Turkey in terms of facilities, particularly logistics," he told reporters after opening Malaysia Cultural Week 2014 at Cevahir Square here, on Saturday. Turkey Cultural Week in Kuala Lumpur will introduce the country's culture to Malaysians and boost ties between both countries to mark 50 years of bilateral cooperation. Earlier, Mohamed Nazri when launching Malaysia Cultural Week with the theme 'Culture of 1Malaysia' said it aims to promote Malaysia's varied cultures at international level in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2014. A total of 17 booths open from 10 am to 6 pm from Sept 5-7. Among activities organised were Malaysian cultural performances, exhibitions and craft demonstrations, art demonstrations, textile and fashion modeling. -- BERNAMA
