Administrative Control and Transparency Authority, Doha Institute for Graduate Studies Sign MoU
Doha, July 11 (QNA) - The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) and Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) signed a memorandum of understanding on Sunday with the aim of coordinating between the two parties to identify opportunities for cooperation in the agreed research fields, and other scientific, training and advisory activities.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the Authority by HE President of the ACTA Hamad bin Nasser Al Missned, and on behalf of the Doha Institute by Doha Institute's Acting President and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr Abdulwahab Al Afandi.
The Memorandum stipulates the cooperation of the two parties in a number of fields, the most important of which is the exchange of experiences and experts, the provision of vocational training in the Institute's specialized centers, the provision of opportunities to accept candidates from the staff of the Authority to study in the various master's programs offered by the Institute, in addition to developing the executive and professional skills and capabilities of the Authority's employees, and holding joints seminars, conferences, workshops, and others.
In this context, HE President of the ACTA Hamad bin Nasser Al Missned pointed out hat the Authority was keen to cooperate with DI to enhance partnership between them in the areas of research, training, capacity building, and other areas related to developing executive and professional skills and capabilities, explaining that the signing of the memorandum with DI aims to benefit from the intellectual and academic elite of the Institute in preparing research and organizing trainings related to transparency, integrity and the administrative control system.
He added that the Authority is ready to provide the Institute's students with practical training in everything related to transparency, integrity, administrative control and other areas in which the Authority gains great practical experience, noting that the Authority aims, through its cooperation with the Doha Institute to make the State of Qatar a regional and global center for experts in the field of promoting transparency, integrity and anti-corruption.
For his part, Dr Abdulwahab Al Afandi welcomed the signing of the memorandum with the ACTA, describing it as important, noting that the Authority is a pivotal institution in Qatar's efforts to enhance transparency and good governance, and enhance its international standing in this field.
He added that the cooperation with the Authority is in line with the DI's mission in serving the Qatari community and actively contributing to the implementation of the goals of Qatar Vision 2030, pointing out that this agreement contributes to upgrading the abilities and capabilities of the Authority and the Institute in implementing their goals.
