FINA President Inspects Facilities of 2023 World Aquatics Championships in Doha

Doha, July 11 (QNA) - The President of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) Dr. Husain Al Musallam, paid an inspection visit to the Qatari sports facilities that will host the 2023 World Aquatics Championships in Doha. During the visit, in which he was accompanied by the President of the Qatar Swimming Association Khalil Al Jaber and members of the Association's Board of Directors, Al Musallam inspected Hamad Aquatic Center and Aspire Sports Dome. Doha had won the hosting of the World Aquatics Championships, scheduled for 2023, which is considered the most important and largest event in the FINA calendar after the Qatari file won the highest number of votes during the voting process, which took place at the FINA Board of Directors meeting in Budapest, Hungary 2016. Doha, which outperformed the Chinese city of Nanjing, will have the honor of hosting the World Aquatics Championships for the first time in the Middle East. Doha is also scheduled to host the FINA World Masters Championships in 2023. (QNA)
