Next rescue operation expected to begin before 5pm

CHIANG RAI, July 9 (TNA) – The next rescue operation is expected to take place before 5 pm today to extract more boys from the Tham Luang cave when everything is ready, said the rescue mission chief, Narongsak Osottanakorn. Eight boys and their coach remain trapped in the cave after the first four boys were extracted from the cave in Chiang Rai yesterday. They are now at Chiangrai Prachanukroh Hospital Thirteen international cave divers and five members of the Thai Navy SEAL unit were in the team to bring the boys out while about 90 divers were involved in the mission. Everything has to be reset. Oxygen tanks were used up and need to be refilled and placed along the evacuation route before the rescue operation will resume today, said the rescue operation chief.
