BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF MONGOLIAN GENERAL CELEBRATED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 90th birth anniversary of Colonel-General S.Luvsangombo was celebrated on December 20 in Moscow of Russia, our Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported Wednesday. During the celebration, the Colonel-General received a certificate of honor signed by D.Tsogtbaatar, the Minister of Construction and Urban Development, and a gift with greetings from the Ambassador of Mongolia to the Russian Federation. Born 1924 in Dornogobi aimag’s Khatanbulag soum, Mr Luvsangombo Sonom served as a member of the Central Committees of the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party (now Mongolian People’s Party), a deputy member of the Politbureau of the Party’s Central Committee; a member of the Defense Council, a member of the People’s Great Khural, a deputy head of the State Construction Commission, a deputy chairman of Ministers’ Council, a chairman of the State Conference, and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city. Mr Luvsangombo lives in Moscow with his spouse Lyusya, two daughters and four grandchildren.
