Pakistani Religious Leader Pays Homage To Imam Khomeini

Islamabad, Feb 5, IRNA -- Religious Pakistani leader on Monday praised founder of Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini (P) for his struggle in leading Islamic Revolution of Iran to victory. Talking to IRNA, the Deputy Secretary General, Majlis Wehdat Muslemeen (MWM), Allama Amin Shaheedi, said that the Islamic Revolution is the source of inspiration for all Muslim countries. He said that the teachings of Imam Khomeini (P) will continue to inspire the Muslims around the world. On the 34th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution he congratulated people and the government of Iran along with the followers of the Islamic Revolution throughout the world. He said that the Islamic Revolution truly reflects the sentiments of a common man. He said that Imam Khomeini (P) had resisted against a tyrant ruler and brought the Islamic Revolution to victory in the country. He went on to say that the Islamic Revolution is very inspiring for the other oppressed countries of the world. Allama Amin Shaheedi said that Imam Khomeini (P) had led the Iranian nation to the success of Islamic Revolution and now under the sane leadership of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khameneˈie, the Islamic Revolution is flourishing despite the western conspiracies. Majlis Wehdat Muslemeen (MWM) leader said that the Islamic Revolution had taught to the oppressed nations that with unity any dictator or tyrant ruler can be defeated no matter much powerful is he. The religious leader said that the Islamic Revolution has been challenging the American hegemony in the region. He said that the whole Iranian nation is standing united against the American dominance in the region. Allama Amin Shaheedi counted various conspiracies by the west to weaken the Islamic Revolution. He said that the west has been trying to label the Islamic Revolution as ˈthe Shiˈa revolutionˈ to sow a seed of discord among the global Islamic community. He said that now it is proved that it was truly an Islamic Revolution brought under the Islamic ideology. He said that the western powers are afraid of a strong, powerful Iran. “They are afraid of Islamic Ideology,” he opined. The Majlis Wehdat Muslemeen (MWM) leader praised the steadfastness of the Iranian nation against the western pressures. He said that today, because of the Islamic Revolution, Iran is progressing in all fields, especially in science and technology. He was of the opinion that the Islamic Revolution has become an excellent example of resistance against the western domination.
