Poland, Thailand to boost business ties

BANGKOK, May 12 (TNA) - Visiting Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has called for further trade links between Thailand and Poland, as the post-flooded Thai economy is showing potential of steady growth. Sikorski said after his talks with Thai authorities, including those at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister General Yuthasak Sasiprapa, in Bangkok on Friday that both sides have agreed on promoting more direct trade links between Thailand and Poland. The Polish foreign minister acknowledged that it is now likely that Polish businesses will be expanding into Thailand, including those in the shipyard industry. According to the visiting Polish foreign minister, Friday's talks have made clear that Poland and Thailand wish to jointly modernize the Thai armed forces. (TNA)
