Israeli war of aggression against Iran killed 935 citizens so far, Judiciary says

Tehran, IRNA – Judiciary spokesperson Asghar Jahangir says 935 Iranian citizens have been killed so far in the 12-day war imposed by the Israeli regime against the country.
During a press conference on Monday, Jahangir honored the memory of all the brave citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially those who lost their lives during the 12-day imposed war against the occupying Israeli regime, adding that, so far, 935 citizens have been killed in the Israeli aggression against the country, including 38 children and 102 women, some of whom were pregnant.
He further noted that in this aggressive and unjust war, innocent civilians, courageous Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (I.R.G.C.) commanders, and notable nuclear scientists were assassinated.
Jahangir emphasized the Israeli regime’s repeated attempts to undermine Iran’s stability through various plots, adding, “The enemy aimed to change the country’s circumstances by assassinating military commanders and scientists, intending to spread fear and exert pressure. However, under the astute guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the competent successors of these martyrs, a swift and powerful retaliation was executed, crushing all the enemy’s plans within days.”
He added, “Using mercenaries, spies, and sabotage networks, the enemy tried to weaken internal security. But thanks to the vigilance of the people and the tireless work of judicial officials, numerous infiltrators were uncovered and apprehended.”
He also added that so far, 79 people have lost their lives in an Israeli attack on Evin Prison in northern Tehran.
According to the spokesperson, those killed included administrative staff, young men doing their military service, inmates, and their family members visiting them. Neighbors living in the vicinity of the prison were also killed or injured, he added.
Israel launched its aggression three days ahead of planned talks between Iran and the United States on the Iranian peaceful nuclear program.
Washington joined the aggression on June 22 when it bombed three nuclear sites of Iran, namely Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz.
The Iranian Armed Forces responded to the U.S.-Israeli aggression powerfully, striking key areas across the Israeli-occupied territories and inflicting heavy damage there. The aggression came to an end following a ceasefire announced on June 24.
