SOUTH KOREAN FOREIGN MINISTER VISITS MALAYSIA
KUALA LUMPUR, March 4 (Bernama) -- South Korea's Foreign and Trade Minister Yu Myung-hwan will arrive here Thursday for a three-day official visit.
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement here Wednesday that it would be the
first to Malaysia for Yu since holding office in February 2008.
The visit would be most significant in bilateral relations between Malaysia
and Korea as it coincided with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations
between the two countries, the statement said.
While here, Yu would hold a bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister Anifah
Aman.
The statement said Yu would also pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Najib
Tun Razak.
Throughout the visit, Yu would be accompanied by his wife and several senior
officials from the Korean Foreign Ministry and Trade Ministry.
