JAPANESE COMPANY TO INVEST IN PURBALINGGA

Purbalingga, Apr 2 (ANTARA) - A Japanese company, Kusunose Mokkouzo, was set to make an investment in the procurement of sticks and chop sticks in Purbalingga regency, Central Java.

"The president of the Japanese company Mokkouzo Mr. Hirohisa Kusunone, along with Factory Manager Kusunose Mokkouzo Mr. Shibata Shinzi, have met with Purbalingga Regent Triyono Budi Sasongko at his office Wednesday," spokesman for the Purbalingga regional administration Muhammad Nurhadi said here Friday.

In the discussions, he said, the Regent promised to facilitate the supply of the raw material for the production of sticks and chopsticks.

On a different occasion, the Japan-Purbalingga cooperation facilitator Rahmat Aripin said Kusunose Mokkouzo will team up with local businessman Lucky Hanifan, owner of PT Samyo Nurrudin Jaya Prima in Wirasana village, Purbalingga subdistrict.

He said the cooperation with Kusunose Mokkouzo would not be like to other Japanese companies which had already invested in Purbalingga, namely PT NYP Wood Work and PT Narayana, also producing sticks and chopsticks.

"Kusunose Mokkouzo was the only buyer and assistant, not the owner of the factory. The assistance includes quality control based on Japanese standards," he said.

He said that in the meeting, the two Japanese companies were also accompanied by the owher of PT NYP Wood Work, Kenzaburo Sugimoto.

"Sugimoto is a senior businessman in his country, and his satisfaction with the services in Purbalingga, have attracted other Japanese businessmen having difficulties in making an investment in Indonesia," Aripin said.

The production machinery made in China were scheduled to arrive in Purbalingga on March 28, 2010, but there was no signs of their arrival.
