Iran ready to develop economic cooperation with Armenia.

TEHERAN, October 26 (Itar-Tass) -- Iran is ready to develop any
initiatives on economic cooperation with Armenia, President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad of Iran said receiving on Tuesday Armenian Prime Minister
Tigran Sarkisyan who is staying in Teheran on a visit.
As a representative of the Armenian delegation told ITAR-TASS, the
Iranian president is confident that "there are no obstacles for bringing
the quality of economic relations to a high level of political
cooperation."
Participants in the meeting spoke out in favour of setting up joint
ventures and cooperating in the bank sphere. "Armenia may become an
important place for strengthening ties of Iran with CIS countries," the
interlocutors noted.
The Armenian prime minister thanked the Iranian authorities for a
benevolent attitude to the Armenian community of this country. According
to the Armenian prime minister's opinion, economic relations with Iran lag
behind a high level of the two countries' political dialogue.
