Iran`s Persepolis scoops late victory in Abadan

ABADAN,July 21(MNA) – Persepolis football team snatched a late victory from Sanat Naft of Abadan in the first week of the Iran Professional League on Thursday. The Galacticos, headed by Portuguese Manuel Jose, beat Sanat Naft thanks to a late goal from Javad Kazemian in the 89th minute. Also on Thursday, Sepasi defeated Zob Ahan 3-0; Malavan edged newcomer Gahar Zagros 1-0, Saba humiliated Paykan 4-0; and Naft of Tehran was held to a 1-1 draw by Rah Ahan.
