Prague, 28 October 2008, (Khabar) - At the Prague University of
International relations, diplomats and scientists as well as representatives of some public organisations and students, had a round-table meeting devoted to the prospects of development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union.

Participants in the sitting were impressed with the high dynamics of interaction which today, can easily be called a strategic partnership.

Kazakhstan's ambassador to the Czech Republic, Anarbek Karashev
spoke of the aims and tasks of the "Way to Europe" programme as well as the
methods of its implementation.

Pavel Kabat, executive secretary, Kazakhstan-Czech inter-parliament
commission:
- In the programme called "A way to Europe" we can clearly see Kazakhstan's
response to today's challenges. Through this programme, we can see further
actions to be taken by the Republic's government and President. We can
observe closer relations with the European Union and the Czech Republic as a
whole.

Local diplomats say that ahead of Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship,
Kazakhstan-related topics can be more often discussed in the Czech Republic.
