SIX KILLED IN BUS ACCIDENT

Garut, W Java, Jan 26 (ANTARA) - At least six people were killed and 23 others injured when a 'Kramat Djati' bus plunged into a ravine in Malangbong subdistrict, Garut district, West Java, on Monday.
Head of Malangbong subdistrict, Nandang Sulaksana, said here on Monday that the six dead victims were Jajang Saefullah (driver), Muhammad (44), Tukimin (40), Susan (70), Winarsih (37) and Korina (15).
Sulkasana said that 18 of the 23 injured suffered from serious injuries.
Most of the dead and injured victims have already been taken by their relatives.
The bus was on its way to Bandung, capital of West Java province, from Solo, Central Java, when the fatal accident happened.
It was believed the bus driver fell asleep for a split second when taking a sharp bend in Sukaratu. But this still has to be confirmed as the real cause of the accident.***3***
