“Channel-2009” campaign
Astana, October 05, 2009, Khabar - The results of the international operation “Channel- 2009” were discussed at briefing of Ministry of Internal Affairs.
More than six thousands drug related crime cases were registered on the territory of countries of Collective Security Treaty. Almost 30 tons of drugs were withdrawn from the illegal circulation. Kazakhstani policemen have disclosed 231 crimes, arrested 334 law breakers. According to Kuanyshbek Zhumanov, the Ministry of Internal affairs have stopped the crime level growth this year. The amount of grave crimes has decreased; about 80 per cent of them were disclosed.
Kuanyshbek Zhumanov, the head of press-cutting service of Ministry of Internal Affairs:
- The members of special subdivision in Zhambyl region have arrested the citizen of Kyzylorda with 1 ton 529 kilograms of marihuana. In Akmola region 30-years old man with 109 kilograms of marihuana was arrested.
In Uralsk the follower of prohibited religious stream was detained. The workers of internal affairs have found 13 religious brochures, 4 blasting cartridges and heroine.
