Nicola Sarkozy’s visit to Kazakhstan
Astana, October 05, 2009, Khabar - The President of French Republic Nicola Sarkozy visits Kazakhstan this Tuesday for negotiations with the head of our state.
New treatments in trade, economics, energy, science and military spheres are planned to be signed during the trip. The official representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yerzhan Ashikbayev has told about the visit at a briefing in Astana. Sarkozy’s visit should fix the arrangements about strategic partnership reached during last year's visit of Nursultan Nazarbayev to Paris. It includes partnership within the international organizations on safety and cooperation – the United Nations, OSCE and others.

- The visit of the head of French state says that Paris notices the important role of Astana in Central Asia and gives it worthy place in France’s system of foreign policy interests. At the same time Kazakhstan considers France as a leader of movement for multipolarity.
On October 8 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev will visit Kishinev to take part in the next session of Ministerial council of foreign affairs of the CIS. On October 9 Council of heads of the states of Commonwealth will be held there. Questions that planned to discuss are overcoming of consequences of global financial crisis and celebrating of 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. It is expected that heads of the states will accept the special reference for this date.
