SWIFT APPOINTED DISTRIBUTORS FOR INFLATABLES

LANGKAWI, Nov 30 (Bernama) -- Swift Inflatables Sdn Bhd has been apppointed
sole distributors in Malaysia and Thailand for the Mercury TM-470-AL TriMAX
military inflatables.

The craft, apart from purely miltary role, can also be used for beach
rescue, flood relief, police diving operations and other duties requiring a
shallow draft and stable vessel.

In a statement here Monday, the company said TM-470-AL would give operators
an alternative to a cost-effective military combat inflatable which has improved
design, superior load capacity and high-performance handling.

Mercury Marine is the manufacturer of the Mercury TM-470-AL.

Its spokesman said Swift Inflatables was appointed sole distributors because
of its track record supplying Mercury Quicksilver inflatables and its capability
to give full service support for inflatables, including tube repairs.

"This back-up is essential for government agencies buying the TM-470-AL," he
said.

The 4.7-metre craft, with a beam of 2.32 metres and weighs 230 kg, can carry
up to 11 combatants.
