Academician D.Batsuren acknowledged as Best Scholar
A decision was made at a regular cabinet meeting to award Academician D.Batsuren the Natural and Social Sciences Award for his thesis themed “Unique principle of Synthesis of Secondary Metabolites in Medicinal Herbs of Mongolia and a Potential New Agent for Curing Cancers”. The above mentioned idea of D.Batsuren is being studied in more than 150 countries.
Sea Buckthorn Program to be launched
A Taiwanese side has forwarded a request to purchase a large amount of sea buckthorn from Mongolia. The amount, however, exceeds the total harvest of sea buckthorn of our country. Therefore, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry has resolved to carry out a Sea Buckthorn Program in the four years to come.
G.Ariunbaatar to sing in Korean theatre
State honored artist G.Ariunbaatar has recently posted about his upcoming performance in the Seongnam Theatre of the Republic of Korea on his social network account. He is singing as Escamillio of Carmen Opera on November 17. He is the winner of Grand Prizes of the international opera singers’ competitions named after Michael Glinka and Muslim Magomaev, as well as the 15th International Tschaikovsky Competition, which was Mongolia’s first Grand Prix with the Gold medal from this prestigious competition.
Young ice skaters to head for World Championships
Two athletes will compete from Mongolia in the Junior and Youth Ice Skating Championships to be held in Minsk of Belarus on November 26 and 27. The ice skaters have received 21 days of training in Changchun city of China. They are to leave UB on the 19th.
