Baku, July 24 (AzerTAc). President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the progress of construction of the road-transport infrastructure around the Baku Olympic Stadium.
Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov informed the head of state that the construction work in the first part of the Hasan Aliyev Street-Ziya Bunyadov Avenue-Olympic Stadium highway was continuing on schedule. A large part of work on the project has already been completed. The 17km highway will have four to six lanes. The next phase will see the construction of three bridges.
It was noted that the first bridge would be 125 metres and the second 162 meters in length. The third bridge, designed for pedestrians, will be 115 metres in length.
In addition, a 900-meter pedestrian crossing and two tunnels will be built here.
The head of state was told of the work to be carried out in the second part of the Hasan Aliyev Street-Ziya Bunyadov Avenue-Olympic Stadium highway. It was said that a 5km road would be laid out under the project. A bridge and two tunnels would be built over the road to link the Baku Olympic Stadium with the Olympic village.
President Ilham Aliyev was informed about the construction of road junctions and pedestrian crossings on a M4 18km Bilgah-Novkhani-Shamakhi highway.
President Ilham Aliyev gave appropriate instructions and recommendations.
