French ambassador visits GPIC

Manama, June 29 (BNA): French Ambassador to Bahrain, Bernard Regnauld-Fabre, visited the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), where its President, Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, received him along with members of the Executive Management, the Labour Union Deputy Chairman and officials. Dr. Jawahery conveyed to the Ambassador the greetings of the Chairman and the Board of Directors and emphasised on the Company's efforts to consolidate and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. Dr. Jawahary spoke about the importance of working together for the benefit of both parties. The ambassador was briefed on the operations and production processes at the Company as well as its most important achievements in the field of safety, quality and environmental preservation. He was also told about the state-of-the-art carbon dioxide extraction plant at GPIC, which reduces harmful emissions from the plant. He learnt about training programmes and activities provided by the Academy of Leadership and Learning and the eLearning Centre and was taken on a tour of the Complex. During the tour, he saw the various environmental projects, and was briefed on how they reflect the beautiful harmony between industry and the environment. He visited the Princess Sabeeka Aromatic Plants Garden and the Medicinal Plants and Herbs Garden, the Palm Oasis, the Charity Fish Farm and the Bird Sanctuary. He expressed his pleasure at the visit and said GPIC is considered a symbol of successful cooperation among GCC countries. He said the visit had allowed him an opportunity to look closely at the modern operations of a successful Company as well as to get to know the achievements and international awards it had won over the years. He thanked Dr. Jawahery and the Board of Directors on their achievements and the outstanding performance and praised its activities within the local community. He said the painstaking and persistent efforts of the Company's Management in the field of the environment and maintaining continuous operations were reasons for its success. The ambassador praised the Management Team and all employees of the Company for their dedication and thanked them for the warm reception and the hospitality.
