MCOT.NET welcomes CIBN online content

BANGKOK, November 30 (TNA) - MCOT Public Company Limited (MCOT), a most established Thai media firm running TV Channels MCOT HD (30,14), MCOT Radio Networks, online news and information services and Thai News Agency (TNA), has agreed to work together with the China International Broadcasting Network (CIBN), a Chinese media giant, to serve online viewers with the varieties of the Chinese content on the expanding MCOT.NET website. MCOT President Kematat Paladesh announced the MCOT-CIBN joint move on November 29 as part of the company's new business strategies in 2019, themed "MCOT:The Difference", aimed to promote the equal access to accurate, timely and constructive news reports and documentaries, as well as varieties of information and data in order to upgrade the quality of life of people in the Kingdom. Kematat said under the agreement, MCOT will welcome CIBN online varieties programs on the MCOT.NET website, including those on innovations, tourism, food, organic agriculture and community products. Besides, NineEntertain, a most popular producer of entertainment news and events in Thailand under MCOT, will upgrade its status to become a "power of entertainment" to step up on top of all online entertainment platforms, while TNA will launch its “Fast First” online platform, in which its special team of journalists will provide live reports on urgent and interesting news and incidents timely. According to the MCOT president, the company will also introduce a new radio online application on smart phones, the largest of its kind in Thailand, to offer song and music programs and other varieties of almost 550 stations of the MCOT Radio Networks and other community radio stations, including news talks programs presented by popular journalists and commentators. The MCOT president revealed that all the company's new online platforms are mostly under MCOT's second newly-introduced strategy, THE VIEWERS, to be launched next year. The company's new direction, announced on Thursday by the MCOT president, includes three new business strategies, under the theme "MCOT:The Difference", namely THE AUDIENCES, focused on specific targeted groups of audiences, THE VIEWERS, focused on comprehensive online consumers, and THE PARTNERS, focused on selected business allies.
