PM urges Thai investors overseas to be united

NAY PYI DAW, MYANMAR, October 10 (TNA) - Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha has called on Thai investors overseas to remain united so that Thailand's external businesses will succeed and help cushion national development. General Prayuth made the call on Friday, when he met some 50 representatives of the Thai business community in Myanmar at the Thai Embassy in Yangon. The prime minister was also reported on the establishment of a Thai business operators' association in Myanmar, foreseeing that it will become a platform to help strengthen and bring about success to Thai businesses in the neighbouring country. The prime minister suggested that all parties concerned work together closely and proactively as a Thailand team in Myanmar, comprising both concerned public and private agencies. Accompanied by his wife, Naraporn Chan-ocha, and his entourage, the Thai prime minister was flying home after meeting the Thai business community in Myanmar, ending his two-day official visit to the neighbouring country, also the current chair of the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
