Zarif Welcomes Expansion Of Iran-FAO Co-op

Tehran, Sept 7, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif welcomed development of cooperation between Iran and UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). He made the remarks in a meeting with FAO new representative to Iran, Rimond Nakozi, who submitted his credentials to Zarif. Referring to the role of FAO in equipping and development of agriculture, fisheries, environment and water management, Zarif hailed expansion of FAOˈs collaboration with Iran in all fields. Water management is one of main regional issues, he said, noting that Iran is ready to strengthen cooperation, participate in regional projects and exchange of information with FAO. Nakozi, for his part, called for Iranˈs contribution to in FAO projects./end
