London To Pay Homage To 10 Malaysian Artists

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 22 (Bernama) -- The artworks of 10 Malaysian artists will take centre stage at an exclusive exhibition in London from Nov 23 to Dec 5. In a statement Friday, Malaysia External Trade Development Corp (Matrade) said the exhibition themed 'Diversity-Malaysia' and curated by international curator Tony Godfrey, would be held at the La Gallerie in Pall Mall. "It will feature works by artists such as Ahmad Zakii, Jalaini Hassan, Yee I Lann, Ahmad Shukri, Kow Leong Kiang, Chong Ai Lei, Juhari Said, Umibaizurah and Heng Mok Zung. "The artworks will showcase beautiful expressions of Malaysians and their traditions, as well as the vibrancy of Malaysia's flora and fauna, among many other subjects," it said. Matrade said this was the second time Matrade had organised an event in London to promote local fine arts. -- BERNAMA
