MONGOLIAN OPERA SINGER WINS INT’L CONTEST

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A State Honored Artist and soloist of the State Philharmonics G.Ariunbaatar has taken first place in the III Muslim Magomaev International Vocalists Contest which was held October 18-19 in Moscow of Russia. The contest named after famous Soviet singer Muslim Magomaev gathered time time some 290 singers. This action is a festival of vocalists capable of demonstrating their gifts, talent and skill of both classic and pop vocal performance. It is open for professional singers, men and women of 20-35 years, alumni of specialized music education institutions. Leading principal opera singers, stars of popular music, music theatre conductors, generally recognized masters of pop art and mass culture from various countries and representatives of international production companies are invited to join the jury panel of the contest. It consists of two rounds and cover Russian and foreign TV/mass media, and is held at the stage of the Crocus City Hall with a support of a symphony orchestra.
