Corruption Convict Arrested In Manokwari

Biak, Aug 29 (Antara) - A task force from the Biak Numfor prosecution has nabbed a law fugitive, former head of the finance division of the Supiori regency administration Robert Kawer, after more than three years on the run. Robert, a corruption convict was nabbed in Manokwari on Friday morning after being in hiding since the Supreme Court confirmed that he was guilty in October 2011, Biak chief prosecutor Made Jaya Ardana said. Made said Robert had been brought to Biak to serve his two-year jail term. Robert was involved in the embezzlement of Rp1.2 billion in state fund.
