Law Fugitive From Fak Fak Arrested In Lamongan

Jakarta, Sept 19 (Antara) - An attorney general office`s task force and a team of Lamongan prosecution office have nabbed a corruption suspect in car procurement for the leaders of the Fakfak district legislative assembly in Papua. Hermanus Kerryanto was arrested in Surabaya, East Java on Wednesday, attorney general office spokesman Setia Untung Arimuladi said here on Thursday. Hermanus has been included in the list of law fugitives by the Fakfak district prosecution office, Setia said. Hermanus committed corruption in the procurement of six cars for the leaders of the Fakfak district legislative assembly in 2010 causing a lost of Rp338.1 million in state fund, he said. Hermanus was flown to Fakfak on Thursday morning to face his legal case, he added On Monday, the attorney general task force picked up another law fugitive Gitama Rahardja Ruslie from his hiding place in Jakarta. Gitama was charged with corruption in a Rp24.5 billion project to build street lamps in Bengkulu in 2007, 2008, 2009 causing a loss of Rp8 billion in state fund.
