Tehran, Aug 5, IRNA – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Monday appointed former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to the Expediency Council membership. Due to the dedications and efforts you made in the past eight years as the chief executive, I appoint you to membership of the Expediency Council. Veteran revolutionary figure, Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani is the Chairman of the Expediency Council.
