BERNAMA's 'One-Stop Centre' Role A Boon For Customers' Image, Branding

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 6 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian National News Agency's (BERNAMA) 'one-stop centre' role via its seven branches of services is a real boon for its customers, said BERNAMA General Manager Zulkefli Salleh (picture). He said the seven branches of the services offered which included television, radio, web and photographs, help customers showcase their image or brand in a new and better perspective. "We feel that the services offered can help various quarters, among them government departments, the corporate sector and interested bodies to build up the image of their organisations more affordably and credibly. "We are not charging high fees, we are looking for volume because the more people come to us the better rate we can offer to them," he told BERNAMA after launching BERNAMA Media Showcase 2016 here Monday. Zulkefli said the media capabilities of BERNAMA especially in public outreach was indisputable, because it had a strong impact and was able to influence the public. The 'BERNAMA Media Showcase' held for the first time, he said, was the platform for the public to better recognise and explore all of the seven branches of services offered. The seven services are BERNAMA TV, BERNAMA Radio24, BERNAMA Images, BERNAMA Media Relations and Event Management (MREM), BERNAMA Library and Infolink Service (BLIS), BERNAMA Newswire and BERNAMA.com. "After 48 years of BERNAMA's history, we feel it's time we highlight all the types of services we offer and provide an opportunity for customers to get better deals through this showcase," said Zulkefli. More than 300 people representing various private and government-owned companies attended the programme which also gave them an opportunity to interact with BERNAMA's representatives, including its Editor-in-Chief, Zakaria Abdul Wahab. During the event, four of BERNAMA's clients received tokens of appreciation from its chairman Abdul Rahman Sulaiman for their continued support and cooperation with the news agency. The recipients were the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism (KPDNKK), Indah Water Konsortium (IWK), Samsung, and Destiny Auto Sdn Bhd. IWK's Branding, Marketing Communications and Publications manager, Hanizah Hamzah who received the award on behalf of the company, when approached afterwards, said the cooperation between IWK and BERNAMA had greatly contributed to the rebranding of IWK to its advantage. He said that the information disseminated by BERNAMA was fast and efficient, which made IWK better known, throughout the country. "We are very satisfied and thrilled with this cooperation, all the press releases we sent and events we implemented were well received by BERNAMA," he said. He added that he hoped that the programme Monday would open more doors to develop and strengthen IWK's brand with BERNAMA. KPDNKK's Public Relations officer Mohd Salmun Mustafa said BERNAMA really helped highlight the ministry's programmes and disseminate information, particularly on the issue of the Goods and Services Tax (GST). He said all the news delivered by BERNAMA was clear, and it helped the public better understand the issue. "We expect BERNAMA to further help explain issues that may be manipulated by irresponsible people in the future," he added. (photoBERNAMA) -- BERNAMA
