Iran veep welcomes Belarus PM in Tehran

Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s First Vice-President Mohammad Mokhber welcomed the visiting Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko here on Tuesday. The ceremony was held at Saadabad Historical Complex in northern Tehran while the two officials reviewed the guard of honor after the anthems of the two countries were played. Then, the two started official talks. Golovchenko arrived in the Iranian capital on Tuesday heading an eco-political delegation to discuss ways to develop ties Upon arrival at Mehrabad Airport, western Tehran, Golovchenko was welcomed by Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Reza Fatemi-Amin. His Tehran visit takes place after the agreement reached by the Iranian and Belarusian presidents on the sidelines of the September summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Uzbekistan. Golovchenko’s day-long visit will focus on talks on expansion of ties in technological, agricultural, energy, trade, and transit fields, according to a political official at Iran’s Presidential Office.
