Jannati: Ahmadinejad Revived Mottoes, Dialog Of Revolution

Tehran, July 20, IRNA – Interim Friday prayers imam of Tehran appreciating eight year services of outgoing government said President Ahmadinejad and his cabinets revived mottoes and dialogue of Islamic Revolution, expressing hope that incoming government, too, would possess this important characteristic. “Services offered by Ahmadinejad’s government should be viewed observing justice. He revived the name of Islam at the international organizations, particularly the UN, and felt no restraint in doing so,” said Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati addressing hundreds of Tehrani worshippers at central campus of University of Tehran. Reminding the worshippers of the Supreme Leader’s appreciation for the services offered by Mr. Ahmadinejad’s cabinets, he added, “Working hard, tireless efforts and being free from all types of corruption were among the characteristics of Mr. Ahmadinejad’s cabinets, and it is our duty, as his eminence Ayatollah Khamenei said, and we expect the next government, too, to follow suit.” Jannati appreciated the Supreme Leader, the people and the election candidates for satisfactory holding of the elections, which he considered a political epic, arguing, “Those who claimed fraud had occurred in 2009 presidential election should feel ashamed today.” Further referring to the points of strength of the outgoing president and his cabinets, the secretary of Guardians Council said, “Of course no one intends to say there have been no weak points, but the human beings need to observe justice.” The Interim Friday prayers imam of Tehran turning to the sedition issue of the post 2009 election, said, “The seditionists have been dealt with observing full lenience.”/end
