Syria Paying The Price For Resisting US-Israel: Iranian Envoy

Tunisia, July 28, IRNA – Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ambassador in Tunisia Payman Jebeli said that Syria is paying the price for its resistance against the alliance of US and the Zionist regime. Ambassador Jebeli made the remarks in an exclusive interview with Tunisia’s weekly publication Al-Zamir in Tunis on Friday. Referring to the fact that Iran will remain besides the Islamic awakening movements of the Arab World until they are fully realized, the Iranian envoy elaborated on the stances of the Islamic Republic of Iran vis-à-vis the Islamic awakening revolutions in the Middle East and North Africa region, the Syria crisis and the West’s double-standards towards Iran’s peaceful nuclear energy program. “Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to provide the Muslim brother countries with its advancements and achievements, particularly in the scientific, technological, and industrial fields,” Jebeli added. Al-Zamir highlighted the conspicuous role of the Islamic Republic of Iran after the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in the region and the world./end
