US-Zionist Regime, Cause Of Syria Crisis: Iran Envoy

Damascus, Sept 24, IRNA –Iran’s Ambassador to Syria Mohammad Reza Raof Sheibani said that what is going on in Syria is due to the irresponsible interference by certain countries with US and the Zionist regime leading them who are engaged in sending weapons and money to armed rebels “It is the Syrian people who should determine their own fate and the Islamic Republic of Iran opposes any foreign interference, especially military intervention in that country,” the diplomat told reporters after attending a conference titled National Salvation of Syria in the Syrian capital, Damascus . Sheibani noted that IR Iran emphasizes political solution to Syria’s crisis. “Within a set framework we ask all Syrian opposition groups to do the same and Tehran is also ready to help the Syrian people in order to facilitate their transition from the present sensitive situation,” the envoy added./end
