Arab Cup 2021: Djibouti Arrives in Doha to Face Lebanon

Doha, June 20 (QNA) - The delegation of the Djibouti national football team arrived in Doha to face the Lebanese national team on Wednesday at Khalifa International Stadium in the qualifiers for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021. Djibouti hopes to record a historic presence by qualifying to the finals and participating in the fourth group, which includes Egypt, Algeria and Sudan, which qualified after beating Libya 1-0 Saturday. Djibouti had failed to get past the first round of qualifying for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations by losing to Gambia on penalties. Upon arrival, the mission was subjected to a COVID-19 test before moving to the residence hotel to enter the health bubble that continues until the departure time after the match, according to the instructions of the organizing committee, which prohibits teams from moving except for training and matches, in the application of the protocol for the Arab Cup qualifiers.
