Top Iran Chess Players Brace For Contest With International Rivals

Dubai, Dec 23, IRNA – Iranian top chess players have attended the world contest in the United Arab Emirates to go ahead with competition with their rivals from US, France and Uganda, it was announced on Saturday. In the first round of chess competitions from world cities, the Iranian players are to compete with representatives from US, France and Uganda in Group Five. Iranian players brace for the contest in the name of their own capital city. Ehsan Ghaemmaghami, Saghar Golizadeh, Pouria Dorini, Morteza Mahjoob and Nima Javanbakht coached by Khosro Hanarndi will compete with rivals. 24 teams in six groups are to compete in the contest kicked off on Saturday. Iranian team as champions of the Western Asia have attended the globally recognized tournament./end
