Fishing Fleets Sail out to East Sea

Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) -- Fishermen in North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK take the lead in sailing out fishing for this year.
The provincial fishery management bureau worked out a plan for attaining this year's goal of seafood production and strengthened the organization of economic work to ensure that the fishery stations make full preparations for going out fishing.
The Chongjin Fishery Station has pushed ahead with the work to safely set fishing boats afloat while speeding up the repair of hulls and engines and maintenance of fishing gear.
The Sinam Fishery Station repaired and maintained marine engines and equipment for drawing up a net and secured fishing nets and various kinds of containers.
The Ryonjin Fishery Station, the Chongam offshore salmon feed supply fishery station and other units have focused attention to improving the performance and appearance of fishing boats by introducing the experience of advanced units.
Present at a ceremony for marking the first outing for fishing at Chongjin Port on April 18 were Kim Yong Hwan, chief secretary of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned and employees.
Fishing boats left for the fishing grounds in the East Sea amid warm send-off by the employees. -0-
