Choe Ryong Hae Inspects Mangyongdae Vegetable Farm

 Pyongyang, March 29 (KCNA) -- Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, inspected the Mangyongdae Vegetable Farm in Mangyongdae District, Pyongyang Municipality.
Going round various places of the farm, he gave pep talks to its officials and working people devoting themselves to the immediate farming process with a patriotic desire to contribute to realizing the programme for the rural revolution in the new era and called for taking practical measures to increase the grain production under a well-worked-out plan.
After learning in detail about the growth of winter wheat and barley and the work for attaining the mechanization goal, he called on the officials to fulfill their duty in implementing the Party's agricultural policy while stressing the need to direct efforts to manuring and tending crops and actively introduce farm machines and implements fit for the actual conditions so as to steadily raise the proportion of mechanization in farm work.
He underscored the need to carry out the project for building a greenhouse for growing rice seedlings in a qualitative way as required by the design and actively push ahead with putting the production of rice seedlings on a scientific basis in close touch with relevant units in order to create good experience conducive to the development of the country's agriculture.
On the same day, Choe Ryong Hae learned about the production at the tree nursery under the Mangyongdae District Forestry Management Station and urged the officials of power organs to display high sense of responsibility and initiative in creating forests in the relevant areas in a prospective way as required by the Party's policy on turning all mountains of the country into golden and treasure ones. -0-
